A shared platform from preparation to AI applications
Dataiku provides a common environment for preparing data, developing models and delivering analytics. Its Flow shows the relationships between datasets, preparation steps and outputs. Visual recipes sit alongside SQL, Python and other code, giving analysts and data scientists different ways to work on the same project.
Cobuild is the current AI building assistant. It can help construct or modify supported Flow steps, machine-learning projects, charts, dashboards and web applications. It also works with notebooks, project documentation and selected automation tasks. Permissions still control which project changes a user can make.
The SQL Assistant helps write, refine, explain and debug queries in SQL notebooks using selected database context. SQL recipes use Cobuild in the current documentation. Results can become charts, exports and shared analytic applications; the wider platform also supports model development, deployment and monitoring.
Organizations can choose Dataiku-operated AI models or supported bring-your-own-model arrangements. In the latter mode, assistant input goes to the configured provider rather than Dataiku, but both modes still require internet access to Dataiku’s AI services gateway. Stories AI does not support that bring-your-own-model mode. Deployment, licensing and assistant configuration determine what is available.

Limitations
AI assistants require administrator configuration, internet connectivity and appropriate permissions. Monthly included usage is individual and cannot be pooled; extra actions consume organizational credits. The cloud trial excludes Govern and advanced LLM Mesh features.

Does Dataiku offer a free trial?
Yes. The managed cloud trial lasts 14 days and does not require a credit card. Govern and advanced LLM Mesh features are excluded. A separate self-installed Free Edition has its own license limitations.
What is Dataiku Cobuild?
Cobuild is the current AI building assistant for supported data pipelines, models, charts, apps and related project tasks. It replaces the older Flow Assistant in newer DSS versions.
How are Dataiku AI assistants billed?
Paid Designer seats receive individual monthly included usage. Further actions draw on available organizational AI credits; action costs vary, and account-specific prices are supplied by Dataiku.
Can Dataiku use my own language model?
Supported assistants offer a bring-your-own-model mode that sends input to the configured provider. Both model modes require internet access to the AI services gateway; Stories AI is excluded from bring-your-own-model support.
