Dashboards with a conversational analytics layer
Qlik Cloud Analytics is a business-intelligence platform for interactive apps, dashboards and data exploration. Its associative model helps users move between related fields and selections. Qlik Answers adds a conversational layer that can explain structured app data and, on supported subscriptions, retrieve information from document-based knowledge bases.
An assistant can work with one analytics app and its configured knowledge bases. Responses identify supporting sources and can include visualizations. In an app, users can add generated charts to a sheet, then develop the result through Qlik’s existing authoring tools. That keeps a conversational answer connected to the reporting environment.
The current agentic experience requires cross-region inference to be enabled. It replaces Insight Advisor and Insight Advisor Chat across the tenant; the legacy experience remains an alternative when that setting is disabled. English is the supported language, with other languages in preview. Government, DoD and Anonymous Access subscriptions have separate availability restrictions.
Permissions combine user roles with access to the relevant spaces, apps and knowledge bases. Section Access restrictions still apply to answers. However, current dashboard selections and bookmarks do not automatically constrain the assistant’s response, and some measure expressions can prevent a requested filter from applying. Those limits distinguish an AI answer from the current view of a dashboard.

What is Data for Analysis?
It is Qlik’s annual capacity measure for data loaded into and saved in the analytics service. It is different from a maximum spreadsheet size, app-memory limit or number of questions.
Does Qlik Answers use my dashboard filters?
Current limitations say dashboard selections and bookmarks do not automatically apply to AI answers. Section Access data restrictions remain enforced.
Can Qlik Answers create a sheet?
Yes. Supported answers can generate charts and create a sheet within an app. Adding a chart to a sheet is not available from an assistant opened outside that app.
