A notes workspace with an AI agent alongside it
Mem Workspace keeps notes, meetings and ideas in an editable knowledge base. Its editor supports Markdown, collapsible headings and AI cleanup for rough writing. Collections give notes a visible structure, while Heads Up surfaces related notes, people and projects beside the current document. Deep Search and templates are available on every plan, within the plan’s activity limits.
Voice Mode turns spoken thoughts or meetings into structured notes with an attached recording and transcript. Push-to-Remember adds a desktop shortcut on Mac and Windows: hold it while speaking, then release to send the thought to Mem Agent. Calendar capture can prompt you when a meeting starts. These capture methods feed the same notes workspace rather than creating a separate meeting archive.
Mem Agent uses notes, conversations and connected calendar context to identify unfinished work and follow up with relevant information. Paid Pro plans add custom scheduled routines and external connections, such as Gmail, Slack or Todoist, within their individual allowances. The agent is presented as a personal, one-to-one assistant. Mem’s MCP connection can also let Claude or ChatGPT search and create notes using the workspace as context.
The current plans measure several kinds of activity separately: messages, new notes, notes reviewed for task tracking, voice hours and routine executions. Open tasks, active routines and connections are simultaneous-capacity limits rather than monthly creation allowances. Mem encrypts data in transit and at rest, but it is not end-to-end encrypted because its AI needs to process the content. Notes and collections can be exported as Markdown.

Limitations

Compare with MemMem FAQs
Is Mem free?
Yes. The ongoing Free plan has monthly allowances for messages, new notes and voice capture, plus limits on task tracking and open work. Higher activity and routines require a paid plan.
Are Deep Search and templates paid features?
Mem lists both as available on every plan. Limits still apply to creation, requests and the work being actively tracked.
What counts as a message to Mem?
Push-to-talk requests, floating-chat messages, messages through external channels and emails sent to Mem all count. If an email creates a note, it also uses the new-note allowance.
Do all usage limits reset monthly?
Monthly activity resets each billing period. Open tasks and projects, active routines and connections instead measure what is active at the same time.
Can I export my notes?
Yes. Mem supports one-click Markdown exports for notes and collections.
Is Mem end-to-end encrypted?
No. Mem encrypts data at rest and in transit, but processes content to provide its AI features. Its pricing FAQ explicitly distinguishes this from end-to-end encryption.
