Teaching tools alongside your existing materials
Brisk Teaching combines a Chrome and Edge extension with a web application for educators. Its tools work with familiar classroom sources, including Google Docs, slides, web articles, YouTube and PDFs. Lesson plans, quizzes, presentations and reading-level adaptations can begin with material a teacher already has open.
Brisk Boost adds student-facing activities built around a chosen source, objective and grade level. A teacher can prepare a tutor, debate, writing-coach or exit-ticket activity, preview it and share access by link, QR code or class code. The browser-based activity does not require students to create accounts or install an extension; the separate student Boost extension has different requirements.
Feedback stays connected to the writing process. In the documented Boost feedback panel, students can agree or disagree with comments and add their response. Teachers can inspect that work through class and assignment views. Inspect Writing provides a replay of changes made in Google Docs, including revisions, deletions and pasted text, rather than a definitive judgment about who wrote an essay.
The free teacher plan covers core preparation tools, while school and district packages add wider oversight, advanced feedback and customization. Curriculum Intelligence connects institutional curriculum and pacing resources to generated materials. Brisk states that teacher and student inputs are not used to train AI models; organizational access and implementation remain part of a school’s setup.
Best for
- Teachers preparing resources from existing online material
- Educators giving feedback on student writing
- Schools setting up guided classroom AI activities
Limitations
Institutional features, advanced Boost insights and the student extension depend on the plan. Inspect Writing shows document history and does not establish authorship or misconduct. Generated lesson content and feedback still need a teacher’s review; no measured learning-outcome rating is provided here.

Is Brisk Teaching free for teachers?
Yes. The current Teacher plan is free. Premium and Intelligence packages for schools and districts require a quote; current pricing does not establish a fixed public individual Pro price.
Does Brisk work in Microsoft Edge?
Brisk documents Chrome and Edge extension support as well as a web app. Supported tools include Google and Microsoft classroom materials; capabilities depend on the source and plan.
Do students need an account for Brisk Boost?
Students can join a teacher-shared browser activity without creating an account or installing an extension. The separate Boost student extension and paid advanced features have different access requirements.
Can Inspect Writing prove that an essay was AI-generated?
Inspect Writing shows changes to a Google document, including revision and paste history. That history can support a teacher’s discussion with a student; it does not by itself prove authorship or misconduct.
