AI site creation within a visual website platform
Webflow brings website layout, content management and hosting into a visual editing platform. Its AI site builder creates site structure and design from a brief, then leaves the result editable. The builder applies to new sites and those originally created with it; it is not a universal regeneration tool for every existing Webflow project.
Initial AI site generation is limited to two pages on Free and up to five on paid access. Later page limits depend on the Site plan. Webflow also offers section and design generation, contextual help, content assistance and eligible AI apps, with different billing rules for those activities.
Site subscriptions pay for an individual website’s hosting and publishing capacity. Workspace subscriptions cover team and development features, including eligible code export. Starter uses a webflow.io address and limits static pages, bandwidth and form submissions. Current paid Site names include Basic and Premium; old CMS and Business plan references do not describe the current public offer.
Code export provides HTML, CSS, JavaScript and assets, but it does not recreate managed Webflow services elsewhere. Functional CMS, ecommerce and user databases, code components and localised page content are excluded. Exported forms and search require their own implementation. A paid Workspace is needed for export, separately from a hosted Site subscription.
AI credits are pooled at Workspace level and renew monthly without rollover. Site building, section or design generation, contextual help and app generation do not consume credits under the current credit guide. Copy, CMS generation, code components, SEO and AEO agents and over-limit translations can consume them. Those credits do not include every hosting or resource cost.

Limitations
Site plans, Workspace subscriptions and AI credit packs cover different costs. Exported files exclude managed CMS and other hosted functionality. AI builder eligibility and initial page limits also differ from the final Site plan’s page capacity.

Can I export a Webflow website?
