From interface references to a working web application
v0 generates web interfaces and applications from natural-language instructions, screenshots and Figma references. It suits landing pages, dashboards, internal tools and interactive prototypes, with a default stack built around Next.js and React. The built-in editor exposes the files, while Design Mode adjusts layout, typography and other visual properties in the latest preview. Applying those changes creates a new version of the code.
Full-stack projects can add server routes, database connections and external APIs. Integrations connect services such as Supabase, Neon, Upstash and Vercel Blob rather than turning every resource into an unlimited part of the v0 subscription. Vercel provides app previews and publishing through a connected project. Source can also be exported for deployment elsewhere, with the target host and service connections configured separately.
GitHub integration gives teams a familiar review path. Code changes commit to a working branch, and publishing a Git-backed project goes through a pull request and production build. Required checks and reviews still apply. Teams can continue using other editors against the repository, although repository access and Vercel deployment permissions remain separate. This is a practical fit for teams that want AI creation without giving up their existing code-review process.

Limitations
Credits are consumed according to the selected model, code context and generated output, so a credit balance is not a fixed number of prompts. Monthly credits expire, and purchased-credit rules differ. Design Mode requires the latest editable preview and is unavailable in mobile viewports. Hosting and database services retain separate limits. Premium is being retired and is unavailable to new users.
