An AI teammate inside the tools your team already uses
Lindy’s current product centers on work requested in Slack, with email, calendar and messaging support around it. A team member can ask for information across connected services or request a draft and follow-up action. Channel work is visible to the team; private DMs and personal context remain separate. An administrator installs the Slack connection, and each teammate links their own account and tools.
Skills provide reusable ways of working, routines handle scheduled or triggered tasks, and shared memory carries workspace context into later requests. Meetings have a shared library for recordings, transcripts and notes. Connected email and calendar support inbox assistance, meeting preparation and scheduling. The higher 15,000-credit selection currently adds computer use and live onboarding, rather than making those features part of every starting subscription.
Lindy says actions with outside impact wait for approval before they run, while read-only lookups from approved sources can proceed. The service processes information in the cloud and logs activity. Its security policy says neither Lindy nor its providers use customer data to train AI models. Enterprise adds organization controls such as SSO, SCIM and audit logs, with a signed BAA for applicable healthcare use.
Billing combines active-user seats with a shared credit pool. Every active user contributes an allowance to the workspace; admins can manage allocations. Work consumes different amounts depending on the task, and unused monthly credits do not roll over. Credit exhaustion pauses usage, with paid top-ups or a larger monthly bundle available. A Slack teammate’s trial and a direct signup can have different billing timing.
Best for
- Teams requesting work from Slack
- Shared routines, meeting context and business tools
- Email and scheduling assistance with approval before writes
Limitations
Active users are billed even when they join through Slack, and larger tasks can consume substantial shared credits. The free credit offer expires after seven days; monthly allowances do not roll over. Higher credit selections and Enterprise add features. External actions require approval, and connected tools determine the information and actions available.
