Sloyd combines AI text-to-3D and image-to-3D generation with a library of editable parametric templates. Its browser tools cover model creation, textures, scenes, rigging and animation. Templates provide sliders and toggles for controlled variations, while generative tools create new shapes from a prompt or reference.

Create new models or customize a template with direct controls
Sloyd offers generative and template-based creation in the same product. Text and image tools produce new model concepts, while the Template Editor adjusts existing parametric assets. A template’s sliders and toggles make it easier to change a prop’s shape or proportions without relying on a new generation.
Templates include automatic UVs, texture support, LOD control and separate parts. They use Sloyd’s parametric engine with an optional AI customization assistant. This is a different creation method from generating an entirely new mesh from an image or description.
The wider toolset adds AI retexturing, art styles, rigging, animation and scene creation. Paid plans cover standard generation with fair-use conditions; advanced operations such as splitting parts, multi-image generation and motion creation consume a separate monthly allowance.
Plugins connect the web app to tools including Blender, Unity, Unreal, Godot and Maya. Supported files include GLB, OBJ and FBX. The public plugin page separates current bridges from runtime 3D generation, which remains on a waitlist. A separate prepaid API lets developers build generation and editing into their own applications.

Limitations
The free tier primarily previews generation and permits community-model downloads. Paid “unlimited” generation has fair-use and queue conditions, while advanced features consume credits.
