Control the shape, topology and surface of an AI-generated asset
Rodin turns descriptions and visual references into 3D assets. Hyper3D adds tools for guiding shape, editing portions of a model and preparing lower-poly versions. These give artists several ways to develop a prop or character concept beyond the first generated result.
Generation effort, mesh topology and texture settings are separate controls in Gen-2.5. A lighter editable mesh and a dense detail mesh serve different purposes, so their face counts should not be treated as interchangeable. Quad output has its own target ceiling.
Material options range from physical surface maps to shaded appearances. Higher-resolution texture combinations depend on specific settings and add-ons. Standard 3D exports let the asset move into other editing or production software for further work.
Creator plans serve regular web use, while Business adds API access. API jobs consume additive credits according to their settings. Free previews, paid confirmation and subscription allowances are distinct parts of the service; a displayed approximate model count is not a guaranteed number of finished assets.
Best for
- Artists generating props from images and descriptions
- Creators refining topology and material appearance
- Developers adding 3D generation to a production pipeline
Limitations
API access starts with Business. Credit consumption varies with settings and processing. Mesh and texture limits are model-specific, and generated assets may need cleanup. Rodin and ChatAvatar have separate output terms.

Does Rodin support several reference images?
The Gen-2.5 API accepts one to five images; web access and options depend on the plan.
Is Rodin’s API included in Creator?
No. The current plan comparison places API access in Business and Enterprise.
Can Rodin export quad meshes?
Yes. Gen-2.5 supports a Quad mode with its own target limit, separate from Raw triangle output.
Are annual prices paid each month?
No. The entry annual tiers are USD 288 for Creator and USD 1,152 for Business, paid yearly. The displayed monthly figures are equivalents.
