Presentation creation built around editable cards
Gamma turns a prompt, outline or imported document into a presentation organised as editable cards. Inputs include Word, PDF and Google Docs. Cards combine content blocks and themes, providing a flexible structure for adapting a deck after the first draft rather than accepting a fixed generated output.
The same presentation can be shared through a live link, presented in Gamma or exported. Current export guidance includes PDF, PowerPoint, PNG and direct Google Slides output. Speaker notes carry into supported PowerPoint and Google Slides exports, while slide masters are not included. PDFs are static, and fonts, gradients or other effects can differ between presentation environments.
Gamma accounts use AI credits for eligible generation and editing. The amount consumed varies with cards, models, images and operations; there is no fixed credit-to-deck conversion. Free starts with 400 nonrenewing credits. Paid subscription credits refill monthly even when the subscription is billed annually, with a rollover cap of twice the monthly allowance. Purchased credits have separate treatment.
Free permits up to 10slides per prompt, while the current Plus, Pro and Ultra offers allow up to 100. Team and Business access add workspace capabilities; Business subscriptions are annual and per member. Export branding follows the workspace plan at the time of export, so creating a deck on one plan does not permanently determine its export badge.
Content ownership, collaboration permissions and AI training settings are distinct issues in Gamma’s terms. Current Team and Business terms exclude training on customer content; Business locks that opt-out, while Pro offers configurable controls. Those terms do not imply that every plan has identical privacy settings or that AI-generated output is exclusive.
Best for
- People building presentations from notes and documents
- Teams sharing decks through a live link
- Creators who prefer flexible cards to fixed slide layouts
Limitations
Credits do not translate into a fixed number of complete decks. Exported fonts and effects can differ, and Free export branding follows the current workspace plan. Training controls and collaboration permissions depend on the subscription.
