AIVA centres on composition: an initial musical idea becomes an arrangement that can be edited and exported as MIDI or audio. Its style library and custom models offer different starting points, while an uploaded recording or MIDI score can influence a new piece. The editor provides a more hands-on path for composers who want to keep developing the notes and arrangement.
The service is available on the web and through desktop applications for Windows, macOS and Linux. MIDI makes AIVA particularly relevant when the next step is a music-production application or further scoring work. Audio exports have a separate role: MP3 is included on Free and Standard, while Pro adds high-quality WAV. The subscription determines download quotas and the permitted track duration.
Rights attach when a composition is downloaded. Free is for noncommercial use with credit; Standard covers monetization on four named social platforms. Pro provides broader monetization and AIVA’s contractual copyright assignment. Uploaded influences require valid rights and grant AIVA a perpetual training licence. Enterprise and high-volume integration uses require separate arrangements.
